BTTC'S SKILL UPGRADING TRAINING SCHEME





Training Path 1, Direct Vertical Leading to Technician



In this training path, majority of course participants will be Junior Technician or equivalent and they shall continue all the prescribed modules. Last module will be the OJT in industry. After completing all modules including OJT, there will be a comprehensive type final examination conducted by BTTC and CTEVT. CTEVT will award the Technician Certificate to those participant who have successfully completed all modules (40 weeks) and passed the final examination. Then the graduate (Technical Certificate holders), shall go to industry for hte job.





Training Path 2, Horizontal Entry and Exit



In this training path, participants will be in-service, pre-service and unemployed (job-seeker) for industry having 8th grade passed and 2 years work experience in related field. Participants shall complete one module whichever needed. After completing one desired module participants may go for the work in industry. OJT module is not necessary for this training scheme. BTTC will award skill upgrading course certificate to those participants who have successfully completed the each particular module.





For Training Path 3, Zigzag Entry and Exit



According to this training path, majority of the course participants will be the Junior Technicians or equivalent. Either they come through industry (in-service) or as a pre-service to joined the module whichever they need. After completing one particular module, participants shall go to industry for work. Having experience in industry again participants will joined another module and after completing shall go to industry and so on. Thus, the participant who completes all the prescribed modules with in the time span of 5 years, BTTC and CTEVT will conduct a comprehensive type final examination for them. CTEVT wil award Technician Certificate who passed the final examination OJT is not necessary for this training path too.

About Us


Balaju Technical Training Center (BTTC), a pioneering vocational training center of Nepal, traces its beginnings from Mechanical Training Centre (MTC) established in 1962, with the assistance of the Government of Switzerland and is devoted to the creation of technicians for the growing needs of the industries in the Kingdom of Nepal. BTTC's programs and services are mandated by an Act of the Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training (CTEVT).



In 1991 the center was renamed as Balaju Technical Training Centre, offering skill oriented training in three major trades - Mechanical, Electrical & Sanitation. At the end of the twentieth century, in 1999 it was elevated with 15 months junior technician course in Electrical Trade, in the beginning of the new millennium 2000 - Diploma level polytechnic course in Electrical Engineering and in 2001 came up with 15 months junior technician course in Civil construction in OFF hour time.
